The Short Answer
Import your list in Prospecting then Prospects. The column that matters most is the phone number or email address: without one mapped correctly, every imported person is unreachable and every message to them is held. Duplicates are matched rather than doubled.
Importing brings your whole book in at once. There is one thing worth getting right on the way in.
How do I import a list?
- Open Prospecting.
- Bring in your file.
- Match your columns to PropKaki's — name, phone, email.
The people appear in your book as soon as it finishes.
Which column matters most?
The phone number or the email address. It is the one column that decides whether PropKaki can send to a person at all.
If you map it to the wrong column, the import still succeeds — but every one of those people is held with no phone or email on file the first time you write to them. That is the usual cause when you see it on many people at once.
What happens to people already in my book?
Someone already in your book is matched rather than added twice, so re-importing a list you have partly entered by hand does not leave you with two of everyone.
If a detail differs, the record keeps what it already had unless you change it.
How do I check the import worked?
Open two or three of the new people in Prospecting and check they have a phone number or an email against them.
The faster check: start a message to a handful. Anything mapped wrong shows up immediately as no phone or email on file, before you have sent anything.
