Group your prospects

The Short Answer
Groups let you write to a slice of your book instead of all of it. Because a send costs 1 credit per person, narrowing always costs less — writing to the right twelve is 12 credits instead of 40.
A group is a way of picking people. It is also the cheapest thing you can do.
What is a group for?
A group is a set of people you want to treat together — everyone looking in one area, everyone whose lease is up this year, everyone you met at one launch.
In Prospecting, Individuals is your book one person at a time; Groups is your book by column.
Does grouping save me credits?
Yes, directly. A send is 1 credit per person, so writing to a group of 12 costs 12 where writing to all 40 costs 40.
There is no volume rate to chase, so narrowing is never the wrong move financially — and it is usually the better message too.
Can one person be in more than one group?
Yes. A person can sit in as many groups as they belong in — grouping does not move them out of your book or out of any other group.
One person written to twice is charged twice, once for each send, so watch for overlap when you write to two groups in a day.
How do I write to a group?
Pick the group and write once. PropKaki drafts from each person's own record, so what goes out is different per person even though you gave one instruction.
The draft is 1 credit; the send is 1 per person.
