Connect Facebook Messenger

Updated 21 October 2026

The Short Answer

Open Extensions then Connectors, press Connect on the Facebook Messenger card, sign in to Facebook and pick your Page. Everyone who messages that Page then lands in your Inbox with their name. You can reply within 24 hours of their last message; after that, only a new message from them reopens it.

This card brings in your Facebook Page's messages and nothing else — your lead forms (Meta Lead Ads) and your Instagram DMs (Instagram Messages) are cards of their own.

How do I connect Facebook Messenger?

  1. In the left rail, open Extensions → Connectors and press Connect on the Facebook Messenger card.
  2. Sign in to Facebook and pick your Page.
  3. Allow PropKaki to read and answer its messages. It never posts.

Done. The card's button now reads Manage, and the card names your Page. Connect more than one Page and it shows how many instead.

Messages come in from the moment you connect. Anything sent to your Page before that stays in Messenger.

Where do the messages show up?

Everyone who messages your Page lands in your Inbox with their name, and you reply from the reply box there. Once the first one arrives, Messenger Chats appears in the Inbox's channel filter, so you can see them on their own.

A photo they send shows as the picture, and a file as a card with its name, kind and size; press either to open it. Both are kept in Workspace → Files as From a Client. Videos, voice messages, stickers and shared posts still show as a one-line note, such as 🎤 Voice message, and stay in Messenger. If a photo can't be kept, its note, 📷 Photo, shows in its place.

If you answer from one of Meta's own apps instead, that reply shows in the conversation here too, so the thread stays whole.

How long do I have to reply?

24 hours from the last message they sent you on Messenger. Inside that window your reply goes straight out, and costs 1 credit.

After 24 hours Meta will not take a reply from PropKaki — nothing is sent, and nothing is charged — and Messenger has no approved templates to fall back on the way WhatsApp does. The reply box tells you in one line:

[Their name] hasn't written on Messenger in 24 hours, so Meta won't let you send a message.

Press Copy the Message to keep what you wrote. The only thing that reopens the conversation is a new message from them — and then you have another 24 hours.

The clock is that Messenger conversation's own. A WhatsApp message or an email from the same person does not restart it.

Can I reply to one message, or react?

Reply, yes. Right-click a message in the conversation, or long-press it, and press Reply: your answer arrives in Messenger quoting their message, inside the same 24 hours as any reply. See Reply to a specific message.

A reaction can't be sent on Messenger from PropKaki; the menu greys it with Messenger can't send reactions from PropKaki. Their reactions do show, under the message they reacted to, and your message goes from ✓ to grey ✓✓ when it reaches them and blue ✓✓ once they have read it, with Seen under the newest one they read.

Will PropKaki reply to people for me?

No. PropKaki sends a message on Messenger only when you send a reply yourself. Nothing on this channel is sent automatically, and the assistant does not answer there.

So each conversation waits for you, and you have 24 hours to answer it. Turn on an alert for new messages and it tells you when one lands, with their name and a short quote of what they wrote. The first message from someone new also raises a New Lead alert, if you have one switched on.

Why won't my Page connect?

The card tells you which of three it is.

  • No Page came back that you can send messages from. You need access to the Page's messages. Ask whoever manages your Page to give you that, then connect again.
  • That Page is already connected to another PropKaki account. A Page connects to one PropKaki account, so it can't be connected here too.
  • Facebook signed you out. This shows on a card that was working. Press Fix and connect again.

What happens if I disconnect it?

Open the card from Extensions → Connectors and disconnect it. It asks you first, and says exactly this:

New messages to your Page will stop arriving in your Inbox. Your conversations will still be here.

To remove a conversation from PropKaki too, use Delete Chat on it. Meta keeps its own copy in Messenger, which PropKaki cannot delete.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
