What does sending a template cost me?

Updated 29 September 2026

The Short Answer

Sending a template costs 1 credit per person, exactly like any other message, and PropKaki adds no template surcharge. Separately, when a message goes out as a template, Meta bills your own WhatsApp account for it; the screen says so when you pick one.

Nothing about templates changes what you pay PropKaki; Meta's charge for the template goes to your own WhatsApp account.

What does a template send cost?

1 credit per person, the same as any other message.

A template to forty people is 40 credits, exactly as a plain message to forty people would be.

Is there a surcharge for templates?

Not from PropKaki: no template surcharge and no per-template fee. What you pay PropKaki is credits, and a template draws them at the ordinary rate.

Meta charges separately for a message that goes out as a template, and bills it to your own WhatsApp account. The screen says so when it happens: picking a template for someone who hasn't written in 24 hours reads your WhatsApp account is billed for it, and an automation's turn-on check says Meta bills your WhatsApp account for each one. Does creating one cost anything?

No. Writing a template, editing it and submitting it for approval all cost nothing. You are only charged when you send one, at 1 credit per person.

So there is no reason not to have two or three ready.

Does a template cost more than replying in the Inbox?

Not in credits. Replying from your Inbox is 1 credit per message, and sending a template is 1 per person. Same rate. The one difference is Meta's charge to your WhatsApp account when a message goes as a template.
