React to a message
Updated 21 October 2026
The Short Answer
Right-click a message in your Inbox, or long-press it, and pick one of the six quick emoji, or the smiley for any other. It appears under the bubble once the channel accepts it. Reactions are free. Blue โโ and Seen under your message mean the client has read it.
A reaction is free on every channel that takes one; the channel decides which emoji it can carry.
How do I react?
- Right-click the message in your Inbox, or long-press it on a phone.
- The top row of the menu is ๐ โค๏ธ ๐ ๐ฎ ๐ข ๐. Press one, or press the smiley for the full emoji panel.
It shows in a small pill under the bubble once the channel has taken it. The emoji you already put on a message is marked in the row; press it again to take it off, or press another to change it.
Which channels take a reaction?
| Channel | What you can send |
|---|---|
| Any emoji, while they have written to you in the last 24 hours | |
| Your chat link | Any emoji, to someone signed in to PropKaki |
| โค๏ธ only | |
| Messenger | None: Messenger can't send reactions from PropKaki. |
| None: Email can't carry reactions. |
Where a channel can't take one, the row is greyed with that line. On WhatsApp after 24 hours it is greyed with the reply box's own line. A chat with a fellow agent offers no reactions.
What if it doesn't go?
Nothing shows on the bubble until the channel accepts your reaction. If it refuses, the bubble stays as it was and a line says Couldn't send. Try again, or reply in words.
Do reactions cost credits?
No. A reaction costs nothing on any channel.
An emoji you type into the box and send is a message, not a reaction, so it costs what any message on that channel costs: 1 credit on WhatsApp, email, Messenger and Instagram, and nothing on your chat link.
Where do their reactions show?
Under the message they reacted to, in the same small pill. You see a client's reactions from WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, and from someone signed in to PropKaki who chats with you on your chat link. If they change or take away their reaction, the pill changes with it.
What does Seen under my message mean?
Seen, small and grey, sits under your newest message the client has read.
- WhatsApp: only when their read receipts are on.
- Messenger and Instagram: when Meta says they read it.
- Your chat link: when someone signed in to PropKaki opens the chat.
- Email: never.
No Seen does not mean unread: many clients turn read receipts off, and email never reports them. Someone chatting with you from their PropKaki Inbox never sees a Seen from you.
