Get an answer as a Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF file
Updated 23 October 2026
The Short Answer
Ask the assistant in words: "make me an Excel of the recent sales at …", or "put that in a Word doc" after an answer. On the web the file appears as a card under the reply with Download; on WhatsApp it arrives as a document. Making the file is free, and it carries your logo and colour once your Branding is set.
You do not have to name a format: say what the file is for, and the assistant picks it and makes it.
How do I ask for a file?
- In the chat, on the web or on WhatsApp, ask for what you want and name the file: make me an Excel of the latest 4-room resale prices at Blk 289 Bishan Street 24, write this research plan into a Word doc, make me a PowerPoint on what a first-time buyer should check.
- The answer is the document itself, opening on its title.
- Under it comes the file: a card with Download on the web, a document in the chat on WhatsApp.
The assistant understands a format however you name it: Word, .docx or Google Doc; Excel, spreadsheet, .xlsx or Google Sheets (it makes the Excel file, which Google Sheets opens); PowerPoint or .pptx; PDF.
Asking for slides or a deck gets a slide report instead, one of the Slides Assistant's reports. See Make a slide deck.
What if I do not name a format?
Say what the file is for and the assistant picks the format. It never asks you which one.
| You say | You get |
|---|---|
| Can I print this for the viewing? · a one-page handout · send me this as a file | a PDF |
| I want to edit this and send it on my letterhead | a Word file |
| a table I can sort and filter · in columns for my own sums · export this | an Excel file |
| something I can present to my team | a PowerPoint |
| present about a home, a block or your listing | a slide report |
A question about a format gets an answer, not a file: How do I use PowerPoint to present to clients? or What's the difference between a PDF and a Word document?
Can I turn an earlier answer into a file?
Yes. After any answer, ask put that in a Word doc, can I have this in Excel, or make it a PowerPoint. The reply is one line, and the file is made from the earlier answer itself, so no figure is typed out again:
- Here's that as a Word file.
- Here's that as an Excel file.
- Here's that as a PowerPoint.
The file takes the answer's heading as its title, or your question when it had none.
An Excel file of an answer written as sentences holds the tables from that answer's cards, such as its recent deals, as real numbers.
For a PDF of an answer already given, on the web, the assistant points you to Download PDF under the reply, which saves the question and answer, cards included.
What does the file card show?
On the web the card sits under the reply: a tile in the app's own colour (Word blue, Excel green, PowerPoint orange, PDF red), the title, a line such as Word · Ready to download, and Download. The file is made on your device when you press it. If it cannot be made, you see Couldn't create the file. (Couldn't create the PDF. for a PDF).
Inside:
- Word: headings, lists and tables, with Page 1 of 2 in the footer.
- Excel: one sheet per table, named by its heading, with figures stored as numbers and the header row frozen.
- PowerPoint: a title slide, then one slide per heading.
A slide report the assistant builds in your account has its own card: its real cover, Slides · and the slide count, Open, and Download with PowerPoint and PDF.
How does it work on WhatsApp?
Ask the same way. A new document arrives as one line and the file as a WhatsApp document, for example Here's Seller's Prep Guide: 204D Compassvale Drive as a Word file. An earlier answer comes as Here's that as a Word file. (or Here's that as a PDF.) and the file. A PDF is a real PDF.
Your clients can ask too, on your own number while your assistant answers them in Advisor mode. Secretary and Auto-reply make no files. A file on that line carries your brand when you have one and nothing of PropKaki's: its last line reads Prepared on and the date.
If a file cannot be made or sent, the chat says Couldn't create the file.
What does it cost, and whose brand is on it?
Making a file costs no credits, signed in or out; the question itself is charged as any question is.
When your account has a logo or a colour in Account Settings → Branding, the file carries your logo, your colour on headings and table headers, your footer line, and a last line Prepared with PropKaki on and the date. It is saved under its title, for example Seller's Prep Guide.docx.
Without a brand, or signed out, it is PropKaki's: Prepared by PropKaki on the date, saved as PropKaki – Seller's Prep Guide.docx.
The Download PDF under a reply stays PropKaki's whoever you are: it is a record of your question and answer, with Made with PropKaki · www.propkaki.com on every page. Anyone can press it, with no sign-in. See Put your own branding on what PropKaki makes.
