Attach a file to a reply

Updated 1 September 2026

The Short Answer

Attach from My Files, your computer or Google Drive, the same as anywhere in PropKaki. One thing to watch: an attachment is cleared when you switch to another conversation or when you send, so it can never follow you to the wrong person.

Attaching in Chats works like everywhere else, with one safety behaviour worth knowing.

How do I attach something?

Three ways, the same three as everywhere in PropKaki:

  1. My Files — anything already uploaded.
  2. Your computer.
  3. Google Drive, if connected in Extensions → Connectors.

What if I switch conversations with a file attached?

It is cleared. Switching to another conversation drops whatever you had attached, and so does sending.

That is deliberate: a file quietly following you from one client to the next is the kind of mistake you only notice after it has been delivered.

Does attaching cost anything?

No. A reply from Chats is 1 credit per message, with or without a file. Storing the file costs nothing either.

Is there a size limit?

It depends on the channel the conversation is on. WhatsApp carries larger files. Email holds an attachment over 3 MB rather than sending it, because a message that big bounces at the far end.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
