How do I upload a file?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
Open Workspace then Files and press Upload. You get three doors: My Files, Computer, and Google Drive. The same three appear at every place you can add a file, so what you learn on this screen works in the composer and in a chat too.
One vocabulary, everywhere. Whichever screen you are on, the doors are the same.
Where do I upload files?
Open Workspace → Files and press Upload.
You can also drop files straight onto the list. Both land in the same place.
What are the three doors?
- My Files — something already in PropKaki, so you are not uploading it twice.
- Computer — the ordinary file picker.
- Google Drive — files from a connected Drive.
These 3 are the same wherever you add a file: on this screen, in the composer, in a chat. Learn them once.
How many can I add at once?
From Computer, as many as you like — select several, or drop a batch onto the list.
From Google Drive, 5 at a time on this screen. That is a limit on how many can be copied across in one go, not on how many you may have.
Does PropKaki ask what the file is for?
No. Upload asks nothing at all — not one question about category, purpose or permission.
A file is just a file. What happens to it is decided later by what you do with it, which means you can upload first and think about it afterwards.
Do I need Google Drive connected?
Only for the Google Drive door, which is connected under Extensions → Connectors.
If it is not connected, that door simply does not appear. My Files and Computer always work.
