Will my past WhatsApp chats come into PropKaki?

The Short Answer
Yes, once, if you said yes to sharing your chat history while connecting the number in your WhatsApp Business app. Up to 180 days of one-to-one chats arrive in your Inbox, already read and named from your phone contacts. Photos and files come over as their caption or a label, not the file.
It happens once, at the connect, and it is the yes on your phone that decides it.
What comes over?
When you connect the number already in your WhatsApp Business app and say yes to sharing your chat history on your phone:
- Your one-to-one chats from the last 180 days arrive in your Inbox, oldest message first, with your messages on your side and theirs on theirs.
- They arrive already read, so no unread dots light up for old messages. A new message after that lights one as usual.
- They're named from your phone contacts. Someone who is also a prospect keeps their prospect's name; someone saved nowhere shows their number.
What doesn't come over?
- Group chats. Only one-to-one chats come over.
- Disappearing and view-once messages.
- The photos, videos and files themselves. Each shows as its caption, or as a label such as [image], [file brochure.pdf] or [media], so you can see something was sent and when. The file stays on your phone.
- Anything older than 180 days.
Do my phone contacts come over too?
Yes. Everyone saved in your WhatsApp Business app is saved in PropKaki as a contact — that's what names your conversations. When you add, rename or remove a contact in the app, PropKaki follows.
Inbox → ⋯ → Add Contacts shows how many so far: Your WhatsApp contacts are saved automatically — 1,438 so far. A contact is not a prospect: nobody is added to your book, counted toward your plan or sent an automation. See View and add your contacts.
When does it happen, and can I do it again?
Once, by itself, after you connect — there's nothing to press in PropKaki. A long history arrives in parts, so give it a little while before you look for the oldest chats.
PropKaki asks Meta for your history the moment you connect, and asks again for up to 24 hours if Meta doesn't take the request. If nothing has arrived after a day, open the help button in the corner, go to Messages and ask. When the help articles don't cover it, Ask the team on WhatsApp reaches a person.
It depends on step 3 of the connect: On your phone, say yes to sharing your chat history — it brings your past conversations into your Inbox, and can't be done later — then confirm. If you said no there, your past chats stay on your phone only. Messages from the connect onwards come into your Inbox either way.
Does anything happen to the people in those chats?
No. Your history is history, not new arrivals: nobody becomes a prospect, no New Lead or New Message alert fires, no automation starts, nobody is sent anything, and no credits are used.
To work someone from your history, right-click their conversation and choose Add to Prospects — see Add a chat to your prospects. Draft Reply on any conversation reads the last 6 messages, imported ones included.
Will messages I send from my phone show up too?
Yes. From the connect onwards, what you send from WhatsApp Business on your phone appears in your Inbox as yours, a few seconds later. Both ways of replying land in the same conversation.
Keep the line connected by opening WhatsApp Business at least once every 14 days — if the app isn't opened for 14 days, Meta disconnects the line.
