Why was my template rejected?

The Short Answer
PropKaki checks four things before submitting: the message addresses the person, no blank sits at the very start or end, no two blanks touch, and only known blanks are used. A rejection past those is Meta objecting to the content, and you edit and resubmit at no penalty.
Most rejections never happen, because the usual causes are caught in your editor.
What is checked before submission?
- The message addresses the person — their name has to appear.
- No blank at the very start or the very end — real words before the first and after the last.
- No two blanks touching — real words between every pair.
- Only the blanks PropKaki knows about.
All four are caught as you write, so a mistake costs you a moment rather than a day.
Why would Meta still reject it?
Because the four rules are about shape, and Meta also reads the content.
Wording that reads as an unsolicited advertisement, or promises something it should not, can be refused even when the structure is perfect.
What do I do about it?
Edit it and submit again. There is no penalty for a rejection — not for that template, not for your account.
Make it read more like a message to one person and less like a broadcast; that is usually the difference.
Does a rejection affect my other templates?
No. Each template is checked on its own, so a rejection does not touch the approved ones you are already using.
