Why does PropKaki sometimes take longer to answer?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
A question it can answer directly comes back quickly. A question that needs it to pull transaction records, compare several places or work through a plan takes longer, because it is doing real lookups. The harder lane costs more credits too — 5 rather than 2.
The wait is work, not a queue. Here is what it is doing.
Why the difference?
A question about how a rule works is answered directly.
A question about what 4-room flats at a particular block have been selling for means pulling records, filtering them and comparing — real lookups, which take real time.
How long is longer?
Seconds rather than minutes. A quick answer is near-instant; a research answer takes a little while.
If something is genuinely stuck rather than thinking, reloading the page and asking again is the fix.
Does it cost more?
Yes. An ordinary question is 2 credits. One that needs the deeper lane is 5.
You can see what was charged under Account Settings → Usage, per question.
Can I ask for the quick one?
Ask a narrower question. What is the MOP for a BTO? is a direct answer.
Compare three blocks across two towns over five years is not, and should not be — that one is worth the wait.
Can I tell which I am getting?
Yes. It tells you when it is going to look something up rather than leaving you watching a blank screen.
So a pause with nothing said is unusual, and worth reporting through Account Settings → Feedback.
