What is an alert?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
An alert tells you when something happens — someone writes to you, someone leaves their details, someone goes quiet, or Meta answers about a template. It reaches you in the app, on Telegram, on WhatsApp or by email. Every alert arrives switched off until you turn it on.
You should not have to keep checking. An alert is you telling PropKaki what is worth interrupting you for.
What can an alert tell me?
Four things:
- Someone Writes To You
- Someone Leaves Their Details
- Someone Goes Quiet
- Meta Answers About A Template
You can have more than one of each — a different alert for a different group of people, reaching you on a different channel.
Where do I find them?
Open Extensions → Alerts.
The list is grouped under On and Off, with the settings for whichever alert you clicked in the panel on the right.
How is an alert different from an automation?
An alert taps you on the shoulder. An automation writes to your clients.
If you want to know that Jason replied, you want an alert. If you want Jason chased when he does not, you want an automation — Extensions → Automations.
Do I get alerts by default?
No. PropKaki sets one of each kind up for you, and all of them arrive off.
This is deliberate. An alert that arrives on is an interruption you did not ask for, so you choose which ones are worth it.
