Get an alert when an agent replies

Updated 29 September 2026

The Short Answer

Open Extensions then Alerts, press New Alert and pick New Message. Choose agents under From or leave Everyone, keep PropKaki and Email ticked, then turn it on. It tells you when an agent replies to you personally — never their assistant — and emails at most once an hour per chat.

It starts off, like every alert, and nothing reaches you until you turn it on.

How do I set it up?

  1. Open Extensions → Alerts and press New Alert.
  2. Pick New Message (An agent replies to you personally.). It appears switched off, with its settings open.
  3. Under From, leave Everyone for any agent, or tick the agents you want to hear about.
  4. Under Alert Me On, PropKaki and Email both start ticked. Untick one if you like.
  5. Flip its switch, or press Turn It On, then press Turn On on the check that opens.

The summary reads Alert me when an agent replies to me personally., or names the agents you picked.

What does it send?

  • PropKaki: under the bell's Notifications, Mei Lin replied with the first line of their reply.
  • Email: to the address you sign in with, titled Mei Lin replied to you, with the first line and Open the Chat on PropKaki.

If the agent sent only files, the first line names them, such as 📷 Photo or 📎 Plan.pdf.

Why didn't I get an email for every message?

Three things keep it quiet:

  • At most one email an hour for each chat, however many messages the agent sends.
  • Nothing while you're reading. With that chat open on screen, no email goes.
  • Only the agent in person. Their assistant's answers never raise it, which is why it says personally.

How do I quieten one agent?

In your Inbox, right-click the chat, or long-press it, and press Mute. Its time and dot go grey and it raises no alert; the dot still shows so you can see there is something new. Unmute undoes it. An archived chat raises no alert either.

Or open the alert and narrow From to the agents you do want to hear about.

How do I stop it?

Flip its switch in Extensions → Alerts; it keeps its settings for when you turn it back on.

Or press Unsubscribe at the foot of one of its emails. That takes Email off every New Message alert you have. An alert left with no channel switches off; one that still has PropKaki keeps working there.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
