How do I stop getting an alert?

Updated 1 September 2026

The Short Answer

Three ways, from gentlest to bluntest: narrow who it watches, untick the channel that is interrupting you, or flip the switch so the row moves to Off. Switching off keeps all its settings, so you can turn the same alert back on later without setting it up again.

Reach for the first one before the last one — an alert switched off is an alert that stops telling you the thing you did want to know.

Can I make it fire less often?

Open the alert and change who it watches from Everyone to Groups or Individuals.

This is the right fix for a busy line: you keep the alert for the people you are working and lose it for everyone else.

Can I keep it but stop it interrupting me?

Untick Telegram, WhatsApp or Email, and leave In The App ticked.

The alert keeps firing and keeps a record, but it waits for you instead of finding you.

How do I switch one off completely?

Flip the row's switch in Extensions → Alerts. It moves down to Off.

All its settings are kept — the kind, the doors, the people, the channels — so turning it back on later is one click, not a rebuild.

Should I delete it instead?

Only if you are sure you will never want it. An alert under Off costs nothing and takes up one row.

Delete is on the row itself when you do want it gone.

Is this how I stop messaging a client?

No. Alerts are about what reaches you.

If a client asked you to stop contacting them, the word unsubscribe in a message from them removes them from every automation permanently. That is a separate mechanism and it is not affected by anything on this screen.
