How do I verify my CEA licence?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
Open Account Settings and pick Verification. PropKaki checks the email address on your account against the CEA public register. If your registered email is the one you signed up with, you are verified without pressing anything. If not, there is a manual route on the same screen.
Often there is nothing to do. Here is how to check, and what to do if it did not happen by itself.
Where do I go?
Open Account Settings and pick Verification.
It is one of the 9 tabs there, alongside Account, Personalisation, Usage, Billing, Feedback, Privacy, Public Listing and Styles.
What does PropKaki check?
The email address on your account, against CEA's public register of property agents.
If that address is the one on your registration, PropKaki finds you and verifies you against your own licence number.
Do I have to press anything?
Often not. If the register already matches your address, you are verified before you press anything — the widget in the corner will show you at 2 of 4 on your very first visit.
That is the check having already run, not a glitch.
What are the three outcomes?
3 of them:
- Agent — your address is on the register, so you are verified against your licence.
- Agency staff — your address is not on the register but your domain belongs to a known agency.
- Manual — neither matched, and there is a route on the screen.
What if I signed up with a personal address?
Two options.
Change the address under Account Settings → Account to the one CEA has, and the check will find you.
Or use the manual route on the Verification tab, which is there for exactly this.
