Why can PropKaki not match my CEA licence?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
There are three: no email address on your account, more than one register entry carrying your address, or an email domain PropKaki does not recognise as an agency. The usual fix is to set your account email to the one CEA has on file, then re-open the Verification tab.
Three causes, named plainly. Work down them.
Is your account email the registered one?
This is the usual one. PropKaki matches on the email address on your account, and most people sign up with a personal address rather than their registered work one.
Change it under Account Settings → Account, then re-open Verification.
Does more than one register entry carry your address?
If 2 or more entries on the register carry the same email address, PropKaki will not guess which one is you.
It is a real situation — a shared team address, an assistant's address on several registrations — and the manual route resolves it in a day or two.
Is your domain recognised as an agency?
If your address is not on the register and your domain is not one PropKaki recognises as an agency, neither check can place you.
This is common at smaller agencies and at new ones. The manual route is the answer, and it is not a judgement about the agency.
Is there an email on the account at all?
Check Account Settings → Account has an address on it.
If you signed in another way, this is worth a look — the check has nothing to match without one.
What if none of these apply?
Use the manual route on the Verification tab.
It is not a fallback for failures — it is the intended path for anyone the automatic check cannot place, and there is no penalty attached to it.
