How many templates can I have?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
You can hold 250 templates before your business is verified and 6,000 after, and create up to 100 an hour. In practice most agents use fewer than ten, so the limit is not the thing to plan around.
The limits are generous enough that they are rarely the constraint.
What is the limit?
250 before your business is verified with Meta, and 6,000 after.
You can also create up to 100 an hour, which only matters if you are bulk-loading a set.
How many will I actually use?
Most agents settle on fewer than ten — a check-in, a viewing arrangement, a price update, a follow-up after a viewing, a launch note.
The useful number is however many cover the moments you regularly need to reach someone who has gone quiet.
Should I get verified for the higher limit?
Not for the limit. 250 is well beyond what an agent writes.
Business verification does other things for your account, but the template count is not a reason to chase it.
Do rejected or unused templates count?
The practical cost of keeping old ones is not the limit — it is the picker. A list of thirty templates you no longer use makes finding the right one slower at the moment you are in a hurry.
Edit the ones you outgrow rather than adding beside them.
