The Short Answer

Ask the chat a research question about your own situation, such as how much stamp duty you would pay on a second home. PropKaki finds its guide on the topic, reads it and answers your question from it, with the link. This Research Report is 5 credits and arrives as an answer in the chat, not as a file.

The more of your situation you put in the question, the more of the answer is about you.

How do I ask for one?

Ask in the chat, on the web or on WhatsApp. Put your situation in the question, for example:

  • I'm a Singaporean buying a second condo. How much ABSD would I pay, and is there a way to get it back?
  • We own an HDB flat and want to buy a private condo. What are the rules?
  • Do you have a guide on TDSR? I'm self-employed.

There is no form and no button. PropKaki decides from the question whether one of its guides answers it.

What do I get back?

PropKaki looks through its published guides on the topic, picks the one that fits, reads it in full and answers your question from it, in its own words. You get only the part you asked about, not the whole guide.

The guide's link comes at the end, for when you want to read it yourself.

The topics are the research library's: stamp duty, financing, HDB and EC rules, buying decisions and market overviews.

What does it cost?

5 credits. It is the same 5 whether PropKaki lists the guides on a topic or reads one in full. A quick fact it can answer without opening a guide is an ordinary question, at 2.

If you have fewer than 5 credits left, PropKaki skips the guide and answers with what it can, saying: Research Report needs 5 credits and you have …, so I've skipped it for now. It also tells you when your credits reset, and how to get more.

Can I get it as a PDF or a slide deck?

Not this answer: it stays in the chat. To keep it, see How do I save something PropKaki made?

For a report to download or send to a client, open Workspace → Free Tools → Operate → Slides Assistant. It builds one of 13 reports, such as a Home Valuation Report or an Area Guide, for 10 credits, to download as PowerPoint or PDF. See How do I make a slide deck?

Can I read the guides myself instead?

Yes, free and with no account. Open Workspace → Free Tools, then the Research tab, then Expert Property Insights. It opens Singapore Property Research & Guides, where Browse by Topic finds a subject.

The chat is quicker when you want one answer about your own case, and the page is better when you want to read around a topic.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
