Does each mode have its own settings?
Updated 17 October 2026
The Short Answer
Yes. Secretary, Advisor and Auto-Reply each keep their own welcome, skills, files, strategy and per-chat limits, set in Configure Assistants. Three things are shared by every mode: When You Reply, Where Clients Meet It, and the All Conversations Credit Cap.
Since two rows can run two modes at once, each mode is set up as its own assistant.
Where do I set up a mode?
Open Extensions → Reply Assistants → ⋯ → Configure Assistants, and pick the mode at the top. Everything under it belongs to that mode only.
Under the dropdown, a line says who the mode answers now — Answers Past Clients, Jason Tan. — or Nobody gets this mode yet.
From a row, Configure Secretary (or Advisor, or Auto-Reply) under its Mode opens the same place.
What does each mode keep for itself?
| Section | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Welcome Message and Welcome Questions | What a client sees first on your chat link (Secretary and Advisor) |
| Skills | Ask For WhatsApp First, Qualify Leads, Collect Contact, Share Listings, Book Viewings, Book Consultations, Redirect To WhatsApp |
| Behaviour | Knowledge — this mode's files — and its Strategy |
| Limits | Answer Only Property Questions and the Per Conversation Credit Cap |
Auto-Reply has its own fixed replies instead, and no files. Turning a skill on under Secretary leaves Advisor as it was.
How do files work across modes?
Under Behaviour → Knowledge, each mode lists the files it reads from when it answers, and Add File adds one to that mode.
- Removing a file from a mode takes it out of that mode only; it stays in your Files.
- Deleting it from your Files removes it from every mode.
- The file limit counts your files once, however many modes use them.
Did my settings change when this arrived?
Every mode started from what you had set before, so each one answers exactly as it did. Nothing changes until you change a mode yourself and press Save.
