What do the icons in the draft box do?

Updated 19 October 2026

The Short Answer

Left to right: 👍 Good draft and 👎 Bad draft rate it, Copy copies it, ↺ Start Again writes it afresh, ▾ Rewrite makes it Shorter, Warmer or More Direct (1 credit, 2 on a Reply), Add Link adds a link, and Continue in Chat opens a chat to refine it. Send's arrow holds Schedule…, which sets a reminder and sends nothing.

Which icons you see depends on who wrote the words: words you type with Write Myself get Copy and nothing else.

What does each icon do?

They sit in one row inside the box, under the words. Hover any of them for its name.

IconWhat it does
👍 Good draftMarks the draft as a good one
👎 Bad draftMarks it as a bad one
CopyCopies the words as they are now, your edits included. It turns into a green tick and says Copied
↺ Start AgainWrites the draft again from the start
▾ RewriteOpens Shorter, Warmer and More Direct
Add LinkAdds a link at the end of the message
Continue in ChatOpens a new chat to work on the draft with PropKaki

Why can't I see all of them?

Which icons show depends on the message:

  • Words you type with Write Myself get Copy and nothing else.
  • A template from Use Template, or a draft you typed yourself and open again, gets Copy and Start Again. On a template, Start Again is greyed.
  • The thumbs show only on words PropKaki wrote.
  • Continue in Chat shows only when the message is to one named person.
  • Copy and Continue in Chat are greyed while the box is empty, and Start Again and Rewrite while PropKaki is writing.

A Customised Message to a group has no shared box, so none of them appear. Each person's row has its own Redraft and Skip instead.

What happens when I press a thumb?

A thumb stays pressed. Press it again to take your rating back, or press the other thumb to switch. Only one can be pressed at a time.

A rating costs nothing and uses no credit. It does not change the words in the box.

The thumbs belong to the words they rated. After a Rewrite or Start Again the box holds new words, and both thumbs clear so you can rate those.

What do Start Again and Rewrite do, and what do they cost?

  1. Press the ▾ beside the ↺ — its name is Rewrite.
  2. Choose Shorter, Warmer or More Direct.

PropKaki writes the message again from the same facts, in that style. The ↺ spins while it works, and the new words replace everything in the box, including changes you typed. Make small edits after a rewrite, not before. Each rewrite costs what the draft did — 1 credit, or 2 on a Reply or a Give Instructions draft — whether the message is for one person or a whole group.

The ↺ itself is Start Again: it writes the draft afresh, as Auto Draft did, at the same price. Over a saved draft it first asks Keep This Draft?. Changing a word yourself costs nothing.

What does the arrow on the Send button do?

The small ▾ on the right of Send holds one item, Schedule…. It opens a calendar:

  1. Pick a day. Days already past are greyed.
  2. Type a note in Add Note if you want one.
  3. Press Save.

Nothing sends by itself. Schedule sets a follow-up reminder, replacing any date they already had: the date shows on the person's Profile tab under Follow-Up, and on the day they appear in Prospecting → ⋯ → Follow-Ups under Due Today. For one person, your draft waits on their Drafts tab.

Once saved, the item reads Scheduled for 25 Sep; press it to change the day. Once the message is sent, the button turns grey and reads Sent, and the arrow goes.

Why does the Send button look different?

The button's word is Send, or Send All for a group. The channel is in its look. Hover it for the full words, which start Send All via for a group:

Looks likeHover says
Green, with the WhatsApp markSend via WhatsApp
White with a blue outline and your mailbox's logoSend via Gmail, Send via Outlook or Send via Zoho Mail
Blue, with an envelopeSend via Email, with no mailbox connected yet

For a group, each person's row has the same button, with its own Schedule… for that one person. Sending costs 1 credit for each person it reaches.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
