What can teammates do in each other's accounts?

Updated 23 October 2026

The Short Answer

The team's host gives each member one role, and it applies in every other account in the team: Full Access, Can Reply, View Only, No Access, or Custom… area by area. A new member starts on Can Reply. Billing, Export, Verification, Public Listing, Styles and Branding always stay with each account's own holder.

A role is about the other accounts in the team: your own account is always all yours.

Who decides what each teammate can do?

The host sets it, on each member's box in Account Settings → Team → Teammates. A member sees theirs as Your role and cannot change it.

One role covers the whole team: a member on Can Reply can reply in the host's account and in every other member's. The host holds Full Access in every member's account.

What does each role allow?

No Access hides every area. A new member starts on Can Reply.

What is Custom…?

Custom… opens the 10 areas, each with its own level. Each area offers only the levels that mean something for it: My Page, Connectors, Reply Assistants and Automations have Full Access, View Only and No Access; the other six add Can Reply.

No preset lets a teammate connect or disconnect an account's channels; Custom… with Connectors at Full Access is the only way.

What does No Access do?

An area at No Access is not in the sidebar while you work in that account. If every area is No Access, that account is not in your Operating As switcher at all.

That suits a member who only receives handed-off clients: they work in their own account, and the team can still hand clients to them.

What can no role do?

Whatever the role, in someone else's account a teammate cannot:

  • top up, change the plan, or see the plan, invoices or what the account has spent;
  • use Export Everything;
  • change Verification or Public Listing;
  • open or change the account's Styles — drafts there still write in the account holder's voice;
  • open or change the account's Branding;
  • attach from Google Drive — uploads offer My Files and Upload from Computer.

Account Settings is always your own, whichever account the switcher shows.

What happens when my role does not reach a button?

Controls your role does not reach are greyed, and a few menu items are simply not offered. If something still gets pressed, it is refused with Your role here doesn't allow this.

On View Only, opening a chat does not mark it read or send blue ticks. On Can Reply and Full Access it does, for that account.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
