What can PropKaki see in my Google Drive?
Updated 1 September 2026
The Short Answer
PropKaki can only ever see the individual files you choose through Google's own picker. It cannot list, search or browse your Drive, and it cannot see a file you have not picked. That is the narrowest access Google offers for this, and it was chosen on purpose.
This is a fair thing to want answered before connecting, so here it is precisely.
What can PropKaki actually see?
Only the files you pick, one at a time, in Google's own picker window.
It cannot list your folders, search your Drive, or see a file you have not handed it. A file you picked last week is one it can use; the one next to it in the same folder is not.
Why not just let it browse?
Because drawing our own searchable list of your files would need access to your entire Drive.
That access was refused deliberately. The trade is real — you pick in Google's window rather than a nicer one of ours — and it is the right way round.
Can it see my Drive after I disconnect?
No. Disconnecting the card ends the access. You can also revoke it from your Google account directly, which has the same effect.
Files you already attached to a message stay attached — those are copies, already sent.
Is anything of mine stored?
A file you pick is kept in PropKaki so you can use it again without going back to Drive. It appears in your Files, and you can delete it there.
Nothing you have not picked is stored, because nothing you have not picked is ever received.
