Message someone from a number they never wrote to

Anyone whose WhatsApp number PropKaki holds:

• a contact, or
• a WhatsApp chat with no profile yet.

A Messenger or Instagram chat has no phone number, so it has no WhatsApp option. With one number there is no other number to pick — this needs two.

1. Open their conversation in the Inbox.
2. Open the reply pill. It lists both your numbers and starts on the one they wrote to.
3. Pick the other. Its line reads Meta approves this first, and the box says Marcus hasn’t written to your Personal number, so Meta approves this first — usually within a day.
4. Write your message and press Send.
5. Meta needs to approve this first opens: Marcus hasn’t messaged Personal in 24 hours, so Meta has to approve the wording before it can go from Personal. We’ll send it to Meta exactly as it is and send it to Marcus the moment it’s approved — usually within a day. Press Send Once Meta Approves.

The same box offers Send Manually — Open in WhatsApp and Copy the Message if you would rather send it yourself.

At once, in the same conversation, under a WhatsApp · Personal divider, marked Waiting for Meta’s approval with Cancel beside it — even though they have never written to that number. Press Cancel to stop it going.

It goes from Personal the moment Meta approves it, usually within a day, and you are charged then, not when you press Send.

If Meta refuses the wording, the chat says Meta didn’t approve this. Meta said: followed by Meta’s reason, with Edit and Resubmit and Send It Myself.

Then the waiting message doesn’t go, and the chat says so: Marcus wrote to you, so your waiting message didn’t go. Reply here — it’s free and it’s yours to write.

In their Sent Logs it shows as Cancelled — they wrote first, so nothing goes out twice.
