How do I choose what to be alerted about?

Updated 1 September 2026

The Short Answer

Pick the kind first: Someone Writes To You, Someone Leaves Their Details, Someone Goes Quiet, or Meta Answers About A Template. Most kinds then let you tick which doors to watch — your WhatsApp line, your inbox, your chat link — so an alert only fires on the ones you actually use.

Step one of three. The kind decides what fires it; the doors decide where it is watching.

Where is the setting?

Click any row in Extensions → Alerts and the panel on the right opens with its settings.

The kind is the first of them.

Which kind should I pick?

Someone Writes To You, if you are picking one.

It is the alert that lets you stop checking the app, which is the point of having alerts at all. Add the others once that one is settled.

What are the doors?

Ticks under the kind, naming where the thing can come from:

  • Someone Writes To You watches Your WhatsApp Line and Your Inbox.
  • Someone Leaves Their Details watches Your WhatsApp Line and Your Chat Link.
  • Meta Answers About A Template watches its 3 outcomes — Approved, Needs A Change and Paused.

Someone Goes Quiet has no doors, because silence has no source.

What if I untick every door?

Then nothing can fire that alert, and it will sit under On looking healthy while never reaching you.

Leave at least one ticked — and if you only use one channel, ticking only that one is the cleanest way to keep an alert quiet.

How long before Someone Goes Quiet fires?

14 days of silence by default. The number is a field in the panel, so shorten it to 7 if your market moves faster or lengthen it if you work long-cycle sellers.

It counts from their last message to you, not from yours to them.
