Where do files my clients send me go?

Updated 1 September 2026

The Short Answer

A file a client sends you on WhatsApp is kept, and it lands on the same Files shelf as everything else. Open Show, go to Source, and pick From a Client to see only those. They sit beside your own uploads rather than in a separate place.

One shelf, whoever put the file on it. The label tells you where it came from.

Are client files kept at all?

Yes. A file someone sends you arrives on the same shelf in Workspace → Files.

There is no separate inbox for attachments to go and check.

How do I find just those?

Open the Show pill, go to Source, and tick From a Client.

The other 3 sources are Uploaded by Me, Saved from a Chat and Made by PropKaki, so you can narrow to any of them the same way.

Can I tell which client sent it?

Yes. Show → Client narrows to one person's files.

So a client who has sent you six documents over three months has all six in one list, whatever they were called.

Does PropKaki read them automatically?

No. A file from a client is kept, not read — the same as one you uploaded yourself.

It is read when you point at it, and indexed the first time you reference it.

Can I delete one?

Yes. Delete moves it to Trash with an Undo, and Delete Forever removes it.

There is no difference in how a client's file is handled once it is on your shelf.

Still Stuck?

Ask PropKaki in the chat — it answers most of these directly — or message the team.
