In April 2017 the pair moved East Living to OrangeTee with 110 agents and merged it with Navis, a group from ERA, to form Navis Living Group, with five founders. Stuart Chng, then a senior associate executive director at OrangeTee, told EdgeProp that merger talks began in the last quarter of 2016 and that the group wanted a management team with a long-term plan for growth. He and Jackie Mang took charge of the group's training, and by March 2018 it had more than 800 agents, 99.co reported.
In October 2021 four of Navis Living Group's managing partners and co-founders moved to Huttons, bringing about 700 agents, EdgeProp reported; CEA's register shows Stuart Chng's registration with Huttons Asia beginning on 26 September 2021. A Huttons event page called him an Executive Group District Director in January 2022. His website now describes him as a managing partner of Navis and Chief Agency District Director at Huttons, leading more than 1,400 agents.
How did Stuart Chng get to Huttons?
Through two team moves: from Savills Residential to OrangeTee in April 2017, when his East Living Group joined Navis to form Navis Living Group, and from OrangeTee to Huttons in October 2021, according to EdgeProp's reports and CEA's register.
EdgeProp's June 2017 report gives the early history: East Living Group was founded in 2006 at Savills Residential, starting with East Coast homes and later moving into prime districts, and Stuart Chng and Jackie Mang had been at Savills for ten years. His 99.co profile says that while he concentrated on sales he was consistently a Top 10 Monthly Achiever and won manager and annual awards, and that he developed a sales system for agents.
The move to OrangeTee came after talks that, he told EdgeProp, began in the last quarter of 2016. "We needed a place where the management team is proactive and has a long-term vision," he said. East Living brought 110 agents in April 2017 and merged with Navis, from ERA, as Navis Living Group, with Gary Chua, Jason Tan, Jay Ong, Jackie Mang and Stuart Chng as founders.
The group moved to Huttons in October 2021, when, EdgeProp reported in January 2022, about 700 agents followed four of its managing partners and co-founders, whom it did not name. CEA's register shows his Huttons registration from 26 September 2021. Huttons' January 2022 event page described him as a licensed agent, investor, team leader, speaker and columnist quoted on 938FM, Channel 8, PropertyReport and PropertyGuru.
